Collection: N64

The Nintendo 64 (N64) was the third home video game console released by Nintendo. It was released in Japan in June 1996 and was meant to compete against the Sony PlayStation and the Sega Saturn. The N64 was Nintendo's first console made for 3D graphics. It was named for its 64-bit processing unit.

The N64 was released in Japan and North America in 1996, followed by Australia, Europe, and other parts of the world in 1997. The N64 was a social console because it had four controller ports, while previous gaming consoles only had two. The N64 was discontinued in 2003 and the last systems were shipped in early 2004.

The N64 can also be modified using a 3D printed cartridge tray to play North American and Japanese releases. another way to modify the unit is to cut or burn the raised edges of the cartridge tray inside the unit. Most people opt to replace the tray.
