The Neo Geo Multi Video System (MVS) was released in 1990 and was very expensive for its time, costing around $650. The Neo Geo Advanced Entertainment System (AES) is the home console counterpart to the MVS.

Today, the MVS market offers a cheaper alternative to the more expensive and rare home cartridges, and complete arcade kits are priced at a premium. MVS carts can be played on the AES home system through the use of adapters or thru the use of a Super Gun setup to a CRT TV.
