Theme Park

Originally released for the PC and ported to the PlayStation in 1994, Theme Park is a foundational business simulation game created by Bullfrog Productions. Players are tasked with designing and managing a world-class amusement park, handling everything from the layout of roller coasters and snack shops to the salt levels in the fries and the salaries of the staff. 

The game features a colorful, lighthearted aesthetic that belies its deep economic complexity, as players must carefully balance customer satisfaction with profit margins to beat rival parks. While the PS1 version simplifies some of the mouse-driven controls for a controller, it remains a classic of the genre, remembered for its charming 2D sprites and the high-stakes pressure of keeping a park from going bankrupt.
