GRADING GUIDE

Our grading system, launched July 1, 2026, helps you make informed decisions about every purchase.

A

Mint

Like new, pristine condition with no visible wear or defects.

B

Excellent

Very light wear, minimal signs of use. Looks nearly new.

C

Good

Moderate wear from normal use. Fully functional with visible signs of age.

D

Fair

Heavy wear with noticeable cosmetic issues. Works as intended.

J

Junk

Significant damage or defects. May have functional issues.

HOW IT WORKS

  • TESTING

    All items in our inventory are tested for up to 7 days before sale. Items are then bagged to protect the case and contents, much like you'd find at stores in Japan.

    If a game has a scratch on it or is missing its manual or cover, we'll show it in the pictures and call it out if it's something you need to know more than once.

    All photos show what comes with the item. If it isn't there. it's not coming with it.

  • VERIFYING

    Any item over $200.00 automatically gets a video created showing it in working condition. This video is shared with the buyer before shipping.

  • SHIPPING

    Most items sold at Retronation have FREE SHIPPING inside the United States and North America. Currently, we do not ship outside North America.
