Yu Yu Hakusho

Enter the Dark Tournament and Chapter Black eras of Yu Yu Hakusho in this Japan-exclusive 3DO fighting game. Released in Japan on December 23, 1994 and published by Tomy, the game was developed by Hudson Soft and features a 15-character roster drawn from the anime and manga series. Players can battle through Story Mode, compete in versus matches, and choose from fan-favorite fighters including Yusuke Urameshi, Kuwabara, Kurama, Hiei, and several major villains, each with their own spirit attacks and special techniques.

Gamer Fact: Yu Yu Hakusho for 3DO was produced in cooperation with Studio Pierrot, the studio behind the television anime, and uses clips from the show for its full-motion video sequences. The character graphics were also created from digitized animation-cel artwork, giving the game a distinctly anime-derived visual style rather than relying entirely on conventional hand-drawn game sprites.

What's Included:

• Original Japanese Yu Yu Hakusho 3DO Game Disc
• Original Japanese 3DO Jewel Case with Artwork

Compatibility Note: This is an authentic Japanese 3DO release. The 3DO platform does not use a universal hardware-level region lock, and Japanese NTSC software will generally run on North American NTSC 3DO systems. However, some 3DO titles have individual compatibility requirements involving Japanese Kanji ROM support or PAL/NTSC video differences, so universal compatibility across every worldwide 3DO model should not be assumed.
