Released in 1997, Ace Combat 2 is the second installment in the Ace Combat series for the Sony PlayStation 1. It is widely considered a massive improvement over its predecessor, Air Combat, refining the franchise's signature arcade-style flight combat and establishing the fictional "Strangereal" setting.
