Enter the first fully 3D chapter of Konami's legendary Castlevania series with Akumajou Dracula Mokushiroku, known outside Japan simply as Castlevania or informally as Castlevania 64. Released in Japan on March 11, 1999, and published by Konami, the game follows vampire hunter Reinhardt Schneider and young sorceress Carrie Fernandez as they journey toward Dracula's castle. Each character has unique abilities, story elements, routes, boss encounters, and endings, while the game's 3D environments introduce platforming, exploration, day-and-night mechanics, atmospheric horror, and cinematic storytelling to the series.
Gamer Fact: Akumajou Dracula Mokushiroku was the first Castlevania game built entirely around 3D polygonal environments. Developed by Konami Computer Entertainment Kobe, the team created ten major stages and separate progression paths for Reinhardt and Carrie. The game was later followed by Akumajou Dracula Mokushiroku Gaiden: Legend of Cornell, released in Japan later in 1999, which expanded and reworked several concepts from the original Nintendo 64 game.
What's Included:
- Original Akumajou Dracula Mokushiroku NTSC-J Nintendo 64 Game Cartridge
- Original Japanese Cardboard Box
- Original Japanese Instruction Manual
Compatibility Note: This is an authentic Japanese NTSC-J Nintendo 64 release. Japanese and North American Nintendo 64 cartridges use compatible video standards and game hardware, but the original consoles use differently shaped plastic cartridge trays as a physical regional restriction. A Japanese cartridge will therefore not fit into a stock North American N64 without replacing or modifying the cartridge tray, or using compatible region-free hardware.
