Prepare for a technical showcase with Battle Ace, the groundbreaking launch title for the PC Engine SuperGrafx, released in Japan on December 8, 1989. This ambitious 3D shooter was specifically designed to demonstrate the enhanced hardware of the SuperGrafx, utilizing its dual video chips to create a "Super Scaler" effect similar to Sega’s arcade hits. From a first-person cockpit view, players pilot a high-tech fighter across seven diverse planetary environments, engaging waves of enemy forces and massive bosses with a combination of rapid-fire guns and lock-on missiles. While it is a Japanese-market HuCard, please note that it is exclusive to the SuperGrafx console and will not run on standard PC Engine or TurboGrafx-16 systems without the specialized hardware.
