Blood: The Last Vampire – Gekan

Continue the dark, fully animated story of Blood: The Last Vampire in Gekan, the second half of Sony’s interactive anime adventure for PlayStation 2. Released in Japan on December 21, 2000 and published by Sony Computer Entertainment, the game follows a 17-year-old protagonist whose life becomes entangled with the mysterious sword-wielding Saya and the monstrous creatures known as Chiropterans. Rather than traditional action gameplay, players watch extensive animated sequences and make decisions at key moments, with those choices changing later events, character relationships, and ultimately the ending.

Gamer Fact: Blood: The Last Vampire was released as two separate PlayStation 2 volumes, Joukan and Gekan, on the same day. The project was part of Sony’s Yarudora line of interactive animated adventures, with animation produced by Production I.G, character designs by Katsuya Terada, and original concept cooperation from filmmaker Mamoru Oshii. Both PS2 volumes were later combined into a single PSP release in 2006.
