Chibi-Robo!

Explore an ordinary family home from an extraordinary new perspective in Chibi-Robo!, a charming action-adventure starring a tiny 10-centimeter household robot. Released in Japan on June 23, 2005 and published by Nintendo, the game was developed by Skip Ltd. and follows Chibi-Robo as he works to bring happiness to the Sanderson family. Players clean messes, collect trash, help family members and living toys solve their problems, earn Happy Points, and explore increasingly surprising corners of the house. Every action consumes battery power, forcing Chibi-Robo to regularly find electrical outlets and plug himself in before his energy runs out.

Gamer Fact: Chibi-Robo! began life as a very different project involving Skip Ltd. and Bandai. The early version used point-and-click-style controls rather than giving players direct control over Chibi-Robo, but the project was eventually put on hold. Nintendo producer Shigeru Miyamoto later became interested in the Chibi-Robo character, and Nintendo revived the project with Skip and producer Kensuke Tanabe. The game was redesigned around direct 3D movement and became the action-adventure ultimately released for GameCube.
