Gamer Fact: The project began its development lifecycle as a completely different point-and-click graphical adventure game intended to be published by Bandai. When the initial publisher temporarily shelved the concept, industry legend Shigeru Miyamoto stepped in to rescue the property, convincing Nintendo to pick up production and restructure the gameplay framework into the dynamic, fully 3D action-exploration title that became a beloved cult classic.
