Step behind the decks in DJ Wars, a Japan-exclusive Sega Saturn music simulation built around the techniques of club DJing. Released in Japan on December 18, 1997 and published by Spike, the game was developed by Exit and challenges players to build a reputation across a series of clubs on the road to becoming the ultimate DJ. Players select tracks, preview upcoming records through headphones, adjust pitch to match tempos, and use the crossfader to perform cut-ins, fades, long mixes, scratches, and other techniques while keeping the virtual dance floor moving.
Gamer Fact: Unlike many rhythm games of the era, DJ Wars attempts to simulate the actual workflow of mixing records. Players work with two virtual turntables and a mixer, cue tracks before bringing them into the mix, match their pitch and timing, and use different transition techniques to maintain crowd excitement. The game features multiple selectable DJs with their own preferred styles and takes players through nine different clubs.
What's Included:

Compatibility Note: This is an authentic Japanese Sega Saturn release. Original Sega Saturn consoles are region-locked, so this Japanese disc will not normally boot on an unmodified North American or PAL-region Saturn. Playing it on hardware from another region requires an appropriate region-bypass cartridge, compatible modified hardware, or another region-compatible setup.
