DoDonPachi DaiOuJou Black Label EXTRA

Released in 2009 for the Xbox 360, DoDonPachi DaiOuJou Black Label EXTRA is an enhanced port of the legendary arcade "bullet hell" shooter. It includes both the original arcade "White Label" and the revised "Black Label" versions, alongside an exclusive "X Mode" featuring a new playable Element Doll named Piper. The game is notorious in collecting circles for its difficult development history; the port initially suffered from significant technical issues and glitches because developer 5pb. used unauthorized source code from an earlier PlayStation 2 version. While a major patch eventually addressed many of these problems, the release remains a fascinating and rare piece of shmup history for its challenging gameplay and high-quality soundtrack.
