Frame Gride

Enter a world where giant armored machines and medieval fantasy collide in Frame Gride, a distinctive arena combat game from FromSoftware. Released in Japan on July 15, 1999 and developed and published by FromSoftware, the game places players in control of customizable combat machines called Frames, battling rival knights across a fantasy empire torn apart by war. Players can choose from light, medium, and heavy Frame classes, equip different armor and weapons, alter elemental attributes, and summon allied Squires during combat to create specialized battle builds.

Gamer Fact: Frame Gride features a surprisingly deep customization system built around three basic Frame classes and individually equipped head, chest, arm, and leg components. Players can also install Liberate Stones that alter elemental affinities, boost combat abilities, or strengthen summoned Squires. Those Squires consume the Frame's available Liberate Force, forcing players to balance personal equipment strength against the support units they want to bring into battle.
