Gold N64 Toys R Us (No Box) REGION FREE

Own one of the most distinctive Japanese Nintendo 64 hardware variants with the Nintendo 64 Gold Model, a limited color edition sold through Toys “R” Us Japan. Released in 1998, this special version replaces the standard charcoal-gray shell with a metallic champagne-gold finish and includes a matching gold Nintendo 64 controller.

The hardware itself is the familiar Japanese Nintendo 64, offering four controller ports, cartridge-based games, expandable system memory, and support for accessories including the Rumble Pak, Controller Pak, Transfer Pak, and Expansion Pak.

𝗚𝗮𝗺𝗲𝗿 𝗙𝗮𝗰𝘁: The Gold Model was a Toys “R” Us-exclusive Japanese color variant and has become one of the more collectible original-style Nintendo 64 systems. Unlike some later N64 special editions that were tied directly to a game bundle, the appeal here was the matching metallic-gold console and controller combination.

𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁'𝘀 𝗜𝗻𝗰𝗹𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗱:

• Original Japanese Nintendo 64 Gold Model Console
  • REGION FREE. Plays US and Japan games.
• Original Matching Gold Nintendo 64 Controller
• Original Nintendo 64 AC Adapter
• AV Cables

𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗡𝗼𝘁𝗲: This is an authentic Japanese Nintendo 64 system. Japanese and North American Nintendo 64 cartridges use the same basic NTSC hardware standard, but the cartridge shells use different physical region tabs. Japanese cartridges will fit normally, while North American cartridges require a compatible adapter or modification to the cartridge tray.

𝗔𝗩 𝗖𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗡𝗼𝘁𝗲: The AV cable shown is included with this listing. Some Japanese Nintendo 64 packages did not originally include an AV cable, so it should be treated as an included accessory rather than necessarily part of the original factory configuration.
