Legend Of Hero Tonma

Journey through a colorful fantasy world in Legend of Hero Tonma, Irem's side-scrolling action platformer originally adapted from the company's 1989 arcade game. Released in Japan on March 13, 1991 and published by Irem, the game follows the young magician Tonma as he sets out to rescue a princess kidnapped by monsters. Players use magical projectile attacks, jump across enemies and obstacles, collect power-ups that strengthen Tonma's attacks and defenses, and battle through seven stages filled with fantasy creatures and large bosses.

Gamer Fact: Legend of Hero Tonma was unusual within Irem's catalog not only for its colorful fantasy presentation, but also because the original game was developed by an all-female staff, a detail specifically highlighted in later official documentation. The PC Engine version also softened some elements of the arcade game's difficulty, including removing the original time limit while preserving the core platforming and magic-based combat.

What's Included:

• Original Japanese Legend of Hero Tonma PC Engine HuCARD
• Original PC Engine Jewel Case with Artwork

Compatibility Note: This is an authentic Japanese PC Engine HuCARD release. Japanese PC Engine HuCARDs are not directly compatible with a stock North American TurboGrafx-16 because the HuCARD and TurboChip interfaces use different pin assignments. Playing this game on an original North American TurboGrafx-16 requires a compatible HuCARD/TurboChip converter, an internal region modification, or modern hardware designed to support both Japanese and North American card formats.
