Meikyū Jiin Dababa  (迷宮寺院ダババ), known to import collectors as Meikyuu Jiin Dababa or Labyrinth Temple Dababa, for the Nintendo Famicom Disk System. Developed and published by the arcade veterans at Konami, it arrived on toy store shelves in Japan on May 29, 1987.

Konami delivers a beautifully distinct, high-velocity puzzle-adventure odyssey that completely subverts traditional fantasy tropes in Meikyū Jiin Dababa. The narrative casts players as a courageous monk named Shivah, tracking through the mysterious, trap-filled corridors of a labyrinthine Indian temple structure to rescue his captive master from a sinister demonic curse. Moving away from standard linear platformers, the gameplay loops require rhythmic tile-hopping: players jump along a strict grid layout, timing movements perfectly to avoid collapsing floor plates, outsmart rotating projectile traps, and purify waves of folklore phantoms.
Combining bright, colorful character designs with tight mechanical dodge physics and a driving, incredibly rhythmic chiptune score, this Japan-exclusive import classic stands as a highly memorable centerpiece for 8-bit archivists.
