Murakumo

Take to the skies in Murakumo, FromSoftware’s high-speed 3D mech action game for the original Xbox. Released in Japan on July 25, 2002 and developed and published by FromSoftware, the game puts players in control of advanced flying combat machines known as ARKs as part of the special Murakumo unit. Missions take place across the futuristic city of Oliver Port, where players pursue rogue mechs at extreme speed, lock onto targets, weave through dense urban environments, and destroy threats before they can escape.

Gamer Fact: Murakumo was one of FromSoftware’s earliest original Xbox releases and was designed around extremely fast aerial pursuit rather than the slower, heavier combat associated with Armored Core. The game was later localized in North America under the title Murakumo: Renegade Mech Pursuit, while the original Japanese release retained the simpler Murakumo title.
