Experiment with one of the strangest early PlayStation 2 visual-simulation projects in Primal Image Vol.1. Released in Japan on April 27, 2000 and published by Atlus, the game was developed by Racdym and presents itself as a “visual maker” rather than a conventional game. Players interact with virtual female characters, adjust poses, camera angles, clothing, environments, and presentation settings, then create customized visual scenes that showcase the PlayStation 2’s early real-time character rendering capabilities.

Gamer Fact: Primal Image Vol.1 was created as a collaboration between Atlus and the Japanese TV program D’s Garage 21, with Racdym handling development. The project was specifically designed to demonstrate the PlayStation 2’s new 3D character-rendering power through highly detailed virtual models and customizable presentation tools, making it more of an interactive digital-model studio than a traditional simulation game.

What's Included:

  • Original Japanese Primal Image Vol.1 PlayStation 2 Game Disc
  • Original Japanese PlayStation 2 Case with Artwork

Compatibility Note: This is an authentic Japanese NTSC-J PlayStation 2 release. Original PlayStation 2 consoles are region-locked, so this Japanese disc will not normally boot on an unmodified North American or PAL-region PlayStation 2. Playing it on hardware from another region requires appropriate region-compatible or modified hardware.
