Riding Hero

Released in Japan on May 26, 1995, Riding Hero is a high-speed motorcycle racing game developed by SNK for the Neo Geo CD. Heavily inspired by Sega's Hang-On, the game features two distinct modes: a traditional Grand Prix arcade circuit and an ambitious WGP Story Mode, where players take on the role of an aspiring street racer working their way up to the professional world championships. 

The gameplay is noted for its "leaning" mechanics and the ability to upgrade your bike's engine, tires, and brakes using prize money earned from wins. While the Neo Geo CD version experiences the console's typical loading transitions between races, it is favored by collectors for its high-fidelity arranged soundtrack, which replaces the arcade's FM synthesis with rock-infused instrumental tracks that perfectly capture the 90s racing aesthetic.
