Rockman X6

Return to the war between Reploids and Mavericks in Rockman X6, the sixth main entry in Capcom's long-running Rockman X series. Released in Japan on November 29, 2001 and published by Capcom, the game follows X and the returning Zero through a series of challenging 2D action stages affected by the mysterious Nightmare phenomenon. Players can rescue Reploids, collect armor parts, unlock new abilities, defeat eight Nightmare Investigators, and acquire their weapons while navigating some of the most demanding platforming and combat sequences in the PlayStation-era series.

Gamer Fact: Rockman X6 features the Nightmare System, which allows previously cleared stages to influence hazards and environmental effects in other stages, creating altered versions of areas depending on the player's progression. Interestingly, Capcom later described X6 as the final form of the original 2D Rockman X gameplay system when choosing it as the technical basis for the X Challenge mode in Rockman X Anniversary Collection.

Compatibility Note: This is an authentic Japanese NTSC-J PlayStation release. Playing the original disc on incompatible regional hardware generally requires appropriate region-compatible or modified hardware.
