Enter a maze of magical rooms in Solomon no Kagi, Tecmo’s classic action-puzzle game for the Famicom. Released in Japan on July 30, 1986 and developed and published by Tecmo, the game puts players in control of the wizard Dana as he works through a series of single-screen puzzle rooms. Dana can create and destroy stone blocks with magic, use fireballs against enemies, collect keys, uncover hidden items, and carefully plan routes through increasingly difficult stages where one bad move can trap him completely.
Gamer Fact: Solomon no Kagi became one of Tecmo’s most enduring puzzle games because its core mechanic lets players create and remove the very platforms they need to survive. The Famicom version contains 50 rooms and later spawned multiple follow-ups and adaptations, including a Famicom Disk System release and the Game Boy title Solomon’s Club.
What’s Included:
- Original Japanese Solomon no Kagi Famicom Cartridge
- Original Famicom Retail Box
Compatibility Note: This is an authentic Japanese Famicom release. Japanese Famicom cartridges use a 60-pin connector and are not directly compatible with the 72-pin cartridge slot used by the North American Nintendo Entertainment System. Playing this cartridge on an original NES requires an appropriate 60-pin-to-72-pin adapter or compatible hardware designed to accept Japanese Famicom cartridges.
