Players take control of elite mercenary Fox McCloud, leading the legendary Star Fox team to repel a terrifying hive-mind threat known as the Aparoids. The action branches across diverse combat types, challenging you to blast through traditional on-rails starfighter dogfights in the Arwing, roll through intense ground armor engagements inside the Landmaster tank, and fight on foot through sprawling third-person military strongholds. 

Gamer Fact: Although published by Nintendo, the task of actual coding and gameplay design was entirely entrusted to arcade fighting pioneer Namco. The developers infused their signature high-speed gameplay mechanics into the project and treated fans to a sweeping orchestral score recorded directly by the Tokyo New City Orchestra, elevating the cinematic atmosphere of Lylat's interstellar battlefields.
