Bring one of Capcom's most influential fighting games home with Super Street Fighter II X: Grand Master Challenge, the Japanese 3DO version of Super Street Fighter II Turbo. Released in Japan on November 18, 1994 and published by Capcom, the game features the complete roster of Super Street Fighter II fighters along with faster gameplay, Super Combo techniques, multiple speed settings, and the debut of the mysterious hidden challenger Gouki, known internationally as Akuma. The 3DO release became one of the most notable home conversions of the game during the 32-bit era.
Gamer Fact: Super Street Fighter II X introduced Gouki/Akuma to the Street Fighter series as a secret opponent and playable hidden character, establishing one of Capcom's most recognizable fighting-game characters. The 3DO version is also especially remembered for its rearranged CD-quality soundtrack, which gave the familiar character themes a distinctly different sound from the CPS-2 arcade original.
What's Included:
- Original Super Street Fighter II X: Grand Master Challenge Japanese 3DO CD-ROM Disc
- Original Japanese 3DO Jewel Case
- Original Japanese Instruction Manual
Compatibility Note: This is an authentic Japanese 3DO release. The 3DO platform does not use a universal hardware-level region lock, and Japanese NTSC software will generally run on North American NTSC 3DO systems. However, some 3DO titles have individual compatibility requirements involving Japanese Kanji ROM support or PAL/NTSC video differences, so universal compatibility across every worldwide 3DO model should not be assumed.
