Turok: Dinosaur Hunter

Fight through a brutal prehistoric world in Jikuu Senshi Turok, the Japanese Nintendo 64 release of Turok: Dinosaur Hunter. Released in Japan on May 30, 1997 and published by Acclaim Japan, the game was developed by Iguana Entertainment and follows warrior Turok as he travels through the Lost Land to stop the Campaigner from assembling the powerful Chronoscepter. Players explore large 3D environments, battle human enemies and dinosaurs, collect keys, and wield an arsenal ranging from bows and shotguns to explosive and futuristic weapons.

Gamer Fact: Turok: Dinosaur Hunter was one of the earliest Nintendo 64 games to push large first-person 3D environments and extensive fog effects as part of its visual design. The Japanese release kept the core game intact while rebranding it as Jikuu Senshi Turok, and it became one of the relatively few Western-developed first-person shooters released physically for the Japanese Nintendo 64 market.

Compatibility Note: This is an authentic Japanese Nintendo 64 release. Playing it on North American hardware requires an appropriate cartridge tray modification, compatible adapter, or region-compatible hardware.
