Released in Japan on June 26, 2003, Violet no Atelier: Gramnad no Alchemist 2 (The Alchemist of Gramnad 2) is a classic turn-based RPG developed by Gust for the PlayStation 2. As the fifth main entry in the series, the story follows a young girl named Violet who must save her family's shop on the outskirts of Karotte Village from closing within three years.
The game is celebrated for its deep item synthesis mechanics and a non-linear structure that features over 20 different endings based on the player's success as a merchant and alchemist. Unlike the later Iris trilogy, it retains the series' classic focus on time management and cozy, slice-of-life storytelling, all presented with beautiful 2D sprite work and a whimsical soundtrack.
