Xenosaga Episode III: Also Sprach Zarathustra

Released in Japan on July 6, 2006, Xenosaga Episode III: Also Sprach Zarathustra is the epic conclusion to Monolith Soft’s ambitious sci-fi trilogy for the PlayStation 2. Following the protagonist Shion Uzuki as she uncovers the dark origins of the Gnosis and the true purpose of the android KOS-MOS, the game is widely praised for resolving the series' complex philosophical and religious mysteries. 

This final entry refined the series' gameplay by returning to a more traditional turn-based combat system while introducing the E.S. Dinah mecha battles and a massive "Database" to help players track the sprawling lore. Its cinematic storytelling, featuring nearly eight hours of cutscenes and a haunting score by Yuki Kajiura, makes it a definitive masterpiece of the late PS2 era.
