Yoru no Nai Kuni (よるのないくに) for the PlayStation Vita. Developed by Gust and published by Koei Tecmo Games, it hit store shelves in Japan on October 1, 2015.
Gust shifts away from traditional pastel alchemy workshops to construct a beautifully somber, fast-paced demonic gothic fable in Yoru no Nai Kuni. The story unfolds on Rusewall Island, a cursed land where human inhabitants are forced to hide indoors the moment the sun dips below the horizon to escape bloodthirsty fiends known as Jayou. Players guide a fierce, half-demon holy knight named Arnice as she blade-dashes across shadowy urban brick avenues to clear out corrupted swarms.
The thematic emotional core centers around an agonizing choice: do you blindly serve an ancient church order by sacrificing Arnice's beloved companion, the newly appointed priestess Lilysse, to temporarily seal away the Lord of Night, or do you rebel against destiny to forge a dangerous alternate salvation?
